Obituary

Judith Gambino (nee McElroy) of Massapequa, NY. Cherished wife of her very favorite musician George (sorry Mick and Paul), and proud and grateful mother of Amanda Farrell (Jim) of Huntington, NY. Granddaughters Anna and Erin Farrell, about whom she bragged endlessly, were truly the joy of her life. Raised in Levittown, according to her the very best place to grow up, she was both little and big sister (so played her role as a combination of adoring and managerial) to brothers Richard and Bobby and stepsister Karen (Mark) Curtis. Beloved, some might say indulged, daughter of Richard and Marie, and also of Helen, and daughter in law of Jimmy and Gussy Gambino, all of whom were waiting above for her with arms widespread. She loved her many nieces and nephews and the friends she made her family. Her cooking and sense of humor are legendary. She wore many professional hats; in her early life preschool teacher, day care provider, office manager, and ultimately, health insurance administrator. She battled cancer courageously for three years, always entertaining her doctors and nurses despite serious white coat syndrome, and amazed her friends and family with a positive outlook to the very end.
