Obituary

Michael G. Marino was born March 4, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York. He had 8 brothers and sisters. They all predeceased him. Michael married Gloria Trifari on June 1, 1947. They were married for 54 years. Mr. and Mrs. Marino lived in Brooklyn before moving to Massapequa. They had four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant in World War Two prior to his marriage to Gloria. He had a career as a Photoengraver and then took a job working in his local Hardware store to keep busy after his retirement. He enjoyed bowling and participated in several leagues. He spent the last two years in an Assisted Living Facility where he celebrated his 105th birthday in March. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Arbor Day Foundation or The Nature Conservancy.
