Honoring the life and memory of Linda E. Kalinowski Dear gathered family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by the remarkable woman we are here to remember today. Linda Eula Kalinowski was born on February 20th, 1950, in Jamaica Queens. Daughter of Frank E. Anderson and Lufallers Grubb Anderson and sister to her one brother Frank Anderson Jr. She graduated from Half Hollow Hills in 1967. She was a member of the Bibliophiles. She attended Half Hollow Hill Community Church in Dix Hills during the time of Reverand James Brown. Linda passed away peacefully on June 10th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and countless cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard and their five children: Darlene, Robbie, Richie, Roger, and Linda. Her heart was further filled by her beloved grandchildren: Gregory, Kevin, Rachel, Anna, Julia, Kyle, and Cali. She leaves behind two dogs: Rusty and Teddy and a cat: Lucky.

Richard and Linda's wedding anniversary, October 20, 1974 would have marked 50 years this year. Their honeymoon was in Hawaii and they spent many years traveling together. They enjoyed weekend getaways to Atlantic City, road trips within the states and Princess Cruises overseas. They shared the common interest of baseball, just not the same team. Linda was a Yankee fan and Richard a Mets fan. They watched the games together in support of one another. They also bowled together up until the time Richard could no longer bowl. Linda was on several senior bowling leagues and was recognized as a high score bowler: 200 and up. Bingo nights were another of Linda’s delights, where her competitive spirit shone brightly. Her crocheting was not just a hobby but a way to spread her family in warmth and love. Lottery scratch-offs were her little indulgence and she enjoyed doing crosswords, word searches and sudoku in the daily newspaper. She also was a giver, donating to local charities such as: St Judes, Wounded Warriors Project and many others. She was an active supporter of fighting for our country.

Linda absolutely adored her pets: 2 dogs Rusty and Teddy and cat Lucky which brought her great joy. She loved listening to the oldies atation 89.1 and was a huge fan of Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons and Elvis Presley. She enjoyed walking in nature and flowers (orchids, roses that bloomed in the garden) and specifically loved butterflies, cardinals , ducks (which would visit their pool in the backyard) and the chipmunks when she lived out in Ridge. But nothing compares to the moments she spent with her grandchildren where her light truly shined through. Rest in peace Linda, your legacy of love and strength will continue to shine in our hearts forever. We will always cherish the time, the memories, and your unconditional love.
