Obituary

Vita Rosen (90) of East Islip NY, passed on May 9th 2024 surrounded by her family. Caring wife of the late Seymour Louis Rosen, whom she was married to for 47 years and settled in Brentwood NY where they raised their 4 children. Beloved mother of Audrey (David), Claudia (Alan), Karen (Kenneth), Lori (John), and late Deborah Eileen. Loving big sister to Jay (Judy). Loving grandmother to Danielle (John), Matthew (Sara), Alex (Alison), Lauren (Greg), Jake, Andrew, Justin, & Jordan. Adored Great-Grandmother of Madelynn, Sienna, Aria, and Logan. She grew up in Brooklyn NY and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Education from Hunter College and her Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Adelphi University. Vita loved to sing, write poetry, see Broadway shows, the Mets, and most importantly, be surrounded by her loving family. She was a passionate educator for more than 25 years working with young children. She was a mentor and confidant to many in the various organizations she belonged to. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a small donation to one of her favorite charities, the American Cancer Society.
