Joan C. Nolan, beloved mother and grandmother. Born on May 22, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY. Joan was the loving mother of two daughters. Geri Gragnaniello (Thomas) and Stephanie Scimeca (Joseph). Joan was devoted grandmother to Alexa Rose Scimeca. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick Joseph Nolan and Marie Edna Nolan, her siblings Robert Nolan, Joseph Nolan and Marie Beatty. She is also survived by her sister Rita Reilly and brother Richard Nolan. Joan was cherished by all who knew her. She enjoyed a successful career of over 35 years at Banfi Vintners where she made lifelong friends. She loved to travel, read, meet new people, and try her luck at the slot machines at Atlantic City. She also loved gathering often with family and friends and spending time with her granddaughter. Joan will be dearly missed by all her family and friends who have been touched by her kindness, love and zest for life. In celebration of Joan’s life and to honor her memory, visitation services will take place on November 19, 2023, at Chapey & Sons Funeral home located at 20 Hicksville Rd, Bethpage, NY 11714. The visitation event will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Mass will be held on November 20, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Church located at 175 Wolf Hill Road, Melville, NY 11746 at 10:30 AM.
