Obituary

Terese Dahl of Oakdale, NY passed peacefully at home on October 15th at 86 years of age. Born and raised in Brooklyn by her parents Sebastian and Angela Bila (nee Viaggio). Terese had a joyful life with her amazing identical twin sister Christine and their brother Vincent growing up in Ridgewood before the family moved to Rockville Centre so the twins could attend St. Agnes High School. The twins had a bond like no other until Christine’s passing 24 years ago. Now they are reunited with their incredible parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. After attending Pratt Institute the talented painter married Joseph R Caputo, of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and raised their 5 children in Brooklyn until relocating to Islip Terrace Long Island in 1963. Terese had a second chance at love when she met and married Carl R Dahl of Great River and Kismet Fire Island. They were together for 42 adventurous years before his untimely passing in 2021.
