Rest in peace Aunt Barbara. That’s how I knew her since I was a little girl. My parents met her at a wedding where my dad ate chicken off her plate- some silly story. She became friends with both my parents and all I remember is hearing them laugh. My parents ending up divorcing and I remember one time going to see her family without my mom for the first time. My dad was in another room and she was comforting my sister and I in her kitchen. She always showed us love. I am so glad her and my mom reconnected and both my sister and I got to see her again. I am so sorry for your loss and I wish I could have come today.

To know Barbara was truly a blessing in my life. Her spunky, outgoing personality was one you will never forget. She and my mom worked together for many years and became close like sisters. They travelled together, shared life’s joys and hardships together always supporting each other. For the over 15 years I have known Barbara, she had become my family or “aunt Barbara “ as my daughter and I called her. Looking back on so many important events in my life Barbara was always there. She even was a “junior bridesmaid” at my wedding, and there the day my daughter was born. She celebrated birthdays, holidays with us and I will forever hold onto those memories. There was never a dull moment when Barbara was around! I will forever be grateful to have had her in my life. I am heartbroken she has passed but feel comfort knowing heaven gained another angel. Rest in peace until we meet again…

My deepest sympathy to all of Barbara's family. We go way back and last saw her last when I visited Long Island not long ago.. It was a shock to hear of her passing. My husband knew her when they were in their teens. If he was alive today he would have cried his heart out. Anne Plutzer
