Obituary of Deputy Chief James Gerard Molloy

Molloy- James Gerard, Deputy Chief NYPD, of West Islip, LI on January 30, 2017; after a courageous battle with a 9/11 related illness. Beloved husband of Mary C. Williams Molloy. Devoted father of Alexa and Christina Molloy. Loving son of the late John M. Molloy and the late Anna J. Molloy. Cherished brother of John (Debby Lee) Molloy and Anne (Thomas) Molloy Boucher. Dear son in law of Joseph and Eileen Williams. James will be missed by his many loving sisters and brothers in law and his many nieces and nephews. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI on Friday at 10:15AM. Interment to follow at Northport Rural Cemetery, Northport, LI.
