German, Manuel M., M.D., of West Islip, LI, on January 25, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy German. Devoted father of Katharine Smerechniak, Andrea Kay and Jeffrey German. Cherished grandfather of Jillian, Ryan, Matthew, Christian, Sofia, Emma, Colin and Grace. Dear brother of Lourdes Garchitorena, Alfredo German and the late Dr. Felix German. Dr. Manuel loved gardening, boating, sending out daily e-mails, cooking and spending time with his family. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Babylon, LI. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI. Visiting Sunday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM
