What a great gentleman. When I first joined SEFLI I first met Jim on a bus trip to the WRAM show and enjoyed his company where he sat next to me and shared some stories and conversation on RC Planes. He was always very friendly and I learned a lot of good tips from him. I once got his airplane out of one of the trees at the field and he was so thankful for this, I was so happy to do this for him where you can see the look on his face, he was so happy to get his plane back. My wife and kids got a chance to meet Jim and Mary a few times during club events and they remember Jim well. He was one of those individuals that leave good spirited intentions. What a nice guy. Sad and so sorry, our condolences to Mary and family. God Bless you Jim.

My condolences to the Reid Family.
I met Jim 36 years ago at the Suffolk Falcons Field. I had built my first model, Jim had it flying in no time. He taught me to fly and sponsored me for membership. His patient and knowledge introduced me to a life long hobby. It has been an honor to have known Jim.

Jim was probably one of the key individuals responsible for my lasting interest and love of aviation. He taught me how to fly R/C airplanes back in the late 70's. He was always thoroughly generous with his time, and always had great knowledge, patience
and a sense of humor. I credit Jim with much of the success that I have had as a professional pilot... Thank You Sir!
You will always have my gratitude and respect.

It was a real shock to hear about Jim's passing. I always enjoyed spending time and catching up with Jim at the various flying events we frequented, especially at NEAT. He was a wonderful guy, so friendly and approachable. My condolences go out to his family and the rest of us who called him a friend. Clear skies Jim...
