Obituary of Vincent J. Boller

Boller, Vincent J. “Vinnie” died peacefully at his home in Bethpage on New Year’s Eve, surrounded by family and friends. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer in late September, Vinnie lived out his final months as he lived the prior 64 years—with dignity, courage, and quite a bit of humor. Vinnie, originally from Woodside and a 1970 graduate of Archbishop Molloy H.S., was many things to many people—a friendly neighbor, a dedicated Local 3 IBEW electrician, an unapologetically non-cutthroat little league coach—but he will be remembered most fondly as a terrific husband, father and grandfather. Vinnie is survived by Barbara, his beloved wife of 41 years; his children Robert and Keri-Anne Boller; their wives Jennifer Boller and Bethany Weigand (respectively); his grandchildren Alice, Elizabeth and John as well as countless siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A lover of good scotch, mediocre beer, and bad movies, Vinnie’s untimely passing renders the world a slightly less amusing place. He will be sorely missed, but his family takes solace in the fact that Vinnie will join his parents, his son Vincent and countless Irish relatives in a better place. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1-mile north of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). A Celebration of Christian Liturgy, Thursday 10:15 AM at St. James R.C. Church, Seaford, NY. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale L.I. Visiting Tuesday 7-9:30 PM and Wednesday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be submitted In Loving Memory of Vincent J. Boller to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 5028 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028 would greatly be appreciated.
