Obituary of Charles J. Hoyler

Hoyler, Charles J., of West Islip, LI on December 8, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Eileen A. Hoyler. Devoted father of Charles J. (Jill) Hoyler, III, Mary J. (Greg) Schneller, Thomas J. (Linda) Hoyler, Kevin J. (Kitty) Hoyler and the late Robert J. Hoyler. Cherished grandfather of Charles J., IV, Carolyn (Rick) Hutchison, Jonathan, Katie (Chris) Smith, Christine, Samantha, Phoebe and Robert. Charles was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He retired from the FDNY as a Deputy Chief and was also a Eucharistic Minister at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home 1225 Montauk Hwy., (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday 10:00AM at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Babylon, LI. Interment to follow St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visiting Sunday 2:00PM until 4:30PM and 7:00PM until 9:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' name may be made to the New York Firefighters Burn Center, 21 Asch Loop, Bronx, NY, 10475.
