Obituary of June A. Wilder

Wilder, June Alice (a.k.a. Joan) of Bay Shore, L.I. on December 5, 2016. Proud volunteer of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, where she devoted most of her life, time, and energy. She was also an active member of the Catholic Daughters organization. Beloved wife of the late Harold H. Wilder. Loving, devoted mother of Donna Wilder Holecek, Carolann French, and AJ Wilder. Loving mother-in-law of the late Frank Holecek, Ed, and Stacy. Cherished grandmother to her precious Georgia Rae Wilder. Dear sister to the late Robert Redmond and the late John Redmond. June worked tirelessly for the New York Telephone Company, retiring when marrying her husband Harold and starting a family. She later became an executive administrator to the volunteer department at Southside Hospital, later retiring from there. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey and Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 10:00AM at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, L.I. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery of Middle Island, L.I. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in June’s loving memory to: St. Patrick’s R.C. Church c/o Msgr. Thomas M. Coogan, 9 North Clinton Avenue, Bay Shore, NY 11706. Visiting Thursday and Friday 2:00PM until 4:00PM and 7:00PM until 9:00PM.
