Obituary

MRS. DORIA FRANK, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on April 21, 2021. Beloved wife of William. Devoted mother of Olivia (Joseph) Reitzel and Catherine. Cherished grandmother of Benedict, Maximilian, Leo, Isabella, Charles, Becket, and Emma Reitzel. Dear sister of John, Joseph (Gina), and the late Francis DePaola. Mrs. Frank was born in the Bronx, New York on September 14, 1948. She was a graduate of the Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Good Counsel College (Pace University) and her Master's in French Literature from the University of Virginia. Mrs. Frank was a devoted high school teacher, homeschool mother, and homeschool grandmother. In her younger years, she enjoyed tennis and was an avid skier. A great lover of music and the arts, she played the guitar, sang alto in the church choir, and painted with watercolors. She was a talented dressmaker, decorator, and designer extraordinaire. She created and marketed her own clothing line and specialized in period costumes. But beyond all this, she was most devoted to her traditional Catholic Faith and spent her life passing on what she held so dear. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let the Perpetual Light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Visitation will be available at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home in West Islip on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. The Requiem Mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Farmingville, LI on Monday at 10am. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Frank’s family suggests donations be made to American Life League.
