Obituary

Dennis Michael Rohan, aged 75, fine son of Thomas B. and Anne P. Rohan (predeceased) died from complications of Covid-19 on January 15, 2021. Retired for many years from the NY Telephone Company, Dennis was known for his great parties where food was plentiful and drinks flowed freely. Dennis was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word -- decent, thoughtful, and kind. Well read and well spoken, he always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He was interested in the lives of his family and friends, without being nosy, and could be trusted to keep a confidence. Dennis enjoyed the conviviality of family and friends, of which there are many. He had an incredible memory and shared many a story around a table -- be it a family member's, a friend's, or a backyard picnic table -- where laughter pealed and disagreements became less frequent as we all got older. When there was a disagreement, Dennis was always the peacemaker. His was a life well lived and well loved. Left behind to mourn his death is his beloved wife of almost 29 years, Nancy; his children, Scott and Heather; his stepchildren, MaryAnne and Lenny; his son-in-law, Larry; his grandchildren, Kelsie, Krysten, Kassidy and Jonathan, and Timothy, Rochelle, Katie and Thomas; his siblings, Kevin, Denise, SueEllen, Marilee and Noelle; and his great grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As we fondly remember Dennis, we also remember how he ended his phone calls, "Bye for now."
