Obituary

Teresa Wenz was born April 24th 1952, to Robert and Illia Gilmore. She was raised on Long Island with 4 siblings Joyce, Joan, Mark, and Patricia. Terri as her friends and family know her, had a profound love of nature, specifically the ocean. On rainy days she would often tell her 2 sons James, and Daniel to play outside. They always did, usually with her in tow ensuring their shared love of nature. Terri’s infectious happiness graced many parties, family gatherings, and casual get togethers. Her love of children, and agelessness often made her the center of attention with many kids; and is what made her an amazing grandmother to her three beloved grandchildren Jude, Illia, and Roman. Her love of family made her a 2nd Mother to daughter in laws Melissa, and Bonnie. Terri is survived by her loving husband Michael Wenz, whom she shared many traveling adventures. They made their home open to all, and everyone felt at home in their company. Terri’s lifelong faith, and love for God will guide her to heaven. Her grace and light will be missed by all whom she left behind. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

In Lieu of Flowers

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the St. Mary’s Church outreach program in Terri’s name would be appreciated. Terri volunteered her time to this program for the past 4 years.

A celebration of Terri’s life will be planned in the Spring.
