On Tuesday April 28, 2020 John J. Shine of Babylon, NY passed away at the age of 88. He married his beloved wife Joan Shine (predeceased) in 1957 and went on to raise his two sons and daughter in Levittown, NY. He served as a Lieutenant in the NYPD retiring as the Chief of Patrol Office in Manhattan after 30 years. He was the loving father of Thomas and Linda Shine, Michael (predeceased) and Barbara Shine, Catherine and James Toner. Cherished grandfather of Alisabeth, Kaitlin, Emily, Kerrin, Joanne, and Colleen. Interment Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, LI.
