Ungaro, Vincent R., of Holbrook, LI on October 1, 2016. Beloved husband of Dianne Ungaro. Devoted father of Vincent (Kristine) Ungaro and Jessica (Michael) Panico. Cherished grandfather of Maureen and Vincent Ungaro. Adored son of Susan Cenicola and the late Vincent Ungaro. Dear brother of Angela (Robert) Colucci and Rose (Richard) Gatto. Loving son in law of Retired FDNY Lieutenant Frank and Mary Stark. Fond brother in law of Julia Stark Fried (Richard Fried, M.D.) and Retired FDNY Lieutenant Frank (Theresa) Stark. Loving uncle to Michael & Robert Colucci, Gabrielle Gatto, Lauren & Kimberly Fried and Frank & Dylan Stark. Proud member of the FDNY for over 30 years. Retired Captain of Engine Company 235, Lieutenant of Squad 288 and Ladder 8 and a Firefighter in Engine Company 214, Ladder 111. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial St. Lawrence the Martyr R.C. Church, Sayville, LI Thursday 11:15 AM. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visitation Tuesday and Wednesday 2:00 until 4:00 PM and 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
