Rudolph Frank Martinek, Jr passed away on September 18, 2019 at his home in Mastic, New York. Rudolph was born in Flushing, NY on November 17, 1941. He was a lifetime resident of Long Island having lived successively at Great Neck, West Islip and Mastic. He was a Navy veteran having served as a crewman on the US Navy submarine tender USS Simon Lake (AS-33) based at Holy Loch, Scotland. He was honorably discharged on 33 Aug 1973. At the time of his death he was a retired barber. His primary retirement interest was fishing. Rudolph never married and has no issue. His siblings include a sister Claire Joyce (Martinek) Long of Crofton, Maryland, a brother Lawrence M. Martinek, M.D. of Harker Heights, TX, a sister Carolyn June (Martinek) Prasek of Plainview, NY, and a predeceased sister Janice E. (Martinek) Hikes of South Plainfield, NJ. Rudolph will be interred in the family plot at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, NY. Arrangements entrusted to the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home. www.chapeyfamily.com
