Loving father of Linda (Stephen) Crawford-Vitrano, Richard (Joann) Crawford and Matthew (Cheryl) Crawford. Cherished grandfather of Richard Crawford, Matthew A. Crawford, Patrick Crawford and Lauren Crawford. Dear brother of Rita Michaud and the late Patricia Nuzzi. Retired from NBC News after 41 years of dedicated service. In addition to his love for his family, Richard enjoyed fishing and wood working. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Richard’s loving memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065.
