Obituary of Joseph Richard Bucci

Bucci, Joseph Richard, of West Islip LI, on June 26, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Jean R. Bucci. Devoted father of Kristine O'Malley, Thomas Bucci and Jane O'Brien. Adored grandfather of eight. Dear brother of Diane Amori. Joseph was one of the founders and Presidents of Montauk Artists Association. He was 30 year educator, a Department Chair of the Humanities Program, a Central Office Administrator and Principal of summer school for the Gifted & Talented Program in the West Babylon School District. Joseph was a private pilot and flight instructor. He was a true renaissance man. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday, 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Islip, LI., Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visiting Thursday & Friday from 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
