Obituary of Monica W. Callies

Callies– Monica W., of Oakdale, LI and The Villages, Fl on December 14, 2017 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Michael P. Callies of 51 years. Devoted mother of Michael (Justin) Callies, Karen (Paul) LeVie, Kenneth Callies, Kimberly (Owen) Cody, Kelly (Kelsey) Poole and the late Barbara Ann Callies. Proud grandmother of Emma, Ryan, Hailey and Zoey. Monica will be greatly missed by her cherished extended family. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Nepomucene R.C. Church, Bohemia, LI on Tuesday at 9:45 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, LI. Monica’s family suggests donations be made in her loving memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 or AHRC, 2900 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Bohemia, NY 11716. Visiting Monday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
