Obituary of Edmund Thomas Cieslak

~~Edmund Thomas Cieslak, 80, of Patchogue, NY  passed away Monday, May 23 in Melville, NY. He was the youngest child of three, born to Edmund  & Mary Cieslak of Brooklyn, NY. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William F. Cieslak. He is survived by his sister, Francis Cieslak.

Ed was a loving and dedicated husband to his wife Marion for 61 years. He had a successful career in the automotive industry for all of his adult life.  He was a business leader at the Hertz Corporation in New York City responsible for their national remarketing business. With a dedicated work ethic, he was an honorable mentor for many people in his professional and personal life. His ability to add a touch of levity in all of life with his humor brought light and solace to the many people he touched. The accomplishments of his family, both small and large, were his proudest successes in life. He retired to the Gulf Coast of Florida in Venice before returning back to NY. He was a dedicated Husband, a devoted Father, an supportive Grandfather and an engaged Great Grandfather. 

He is survived by his loving wife Marion. He is survived by their four children, Edmund T. Cieslak and wife, Tricia, William F. Cieslak, Sr. and wife, Darlene, Laurie Stevenson, Stephen Cieslak. He is survived by nine Grandchildren, Erika Rzegocki and husband, Nathan, William F. Cieslak, Jr. and wife, Rachael, Clifford Cieslak and wife, Heather, Ed Cieslak, Alex Cieslak, David Stevenson, Scott Cieslak, Sara Stevenson and Sandie Cieslak. He is also survived by seven Great-Grandchildren, William F. Cieslak III, Ethan Cieslak, Nicholas Colon, Colette Cieslak, Jordan Cieslak, Ava Dyrland and Emerson Rzegocki.

Visitation services will be held Thursday May 25th at Fredrick Chapey & Sons Funeral Home 1225 Montauk Hwy, West Islip, NY 11795 from 2-4 and 7-9:30. Interment will be on Friday May 26th at the Pinelawn Memorial Park located at 2030 Wellwood avenue Wyandanch, NY at approximately 12:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in appreciation and memory of Edmund T. Cieslak to Hospice Care Network  99 Sunnyside blvd  Woodbury, NY 11797
