Cherished father of Susan (the late Matthew) Kurlowicz, Carol (Spiro) Bekas, George L., Grace (Donald) Iadanza. Adored grandfather of Kalynda, Nicholas, Stephanie, Thomas, Matthew, Danielle, Lauren, Cristen, Robert, & Emily. Loving great grandfather of Michael, Christian & Nicholas. Dear brother to Ruth Oakes. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). A Religious Service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in George's loving memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 71305 Main Road, Greenport, NY 11944. Visitation Tuesday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
