Obituary of Jerome N. Curran

Curran, Jerome N. (Jerry), of West Islip, New York and Naples, Florida, on March 3, 2017. Beloved husband of fifty seven years to Rosemary. Devoted father and grandfather of John M. Curran and his daughter Ardelle, of Lewisville, TX, Michael J. Curran, his wife Betsy and their children Regan, Colin and Grace of Rye, NY, Rosemary Chapey, her husband Joseph and their children Owen, Geraldine and Claire, of Bay Shore, NY, Geraldine Schmidt, her husband Eric and their children Timothy and Colleen, of East Islip, NY. Cherished son of the late John and Veronica Curran. Loving brother and brother-in-law of the late Eileen and Herbert Houston and brother of the late Ursula Travers and Claire Eurich. Jerry was a longtime partner at Spear Leeds and Kellogg, a New York Stock Exchange Specialist firm. He was a distinguished fifty year member of the NYSE Buttonwood Club. He was an active golf member at Southward Ho Country Club, Bay Shore, NY and Kensington Golf and Country Club, Naples, FL. Proud graduate and patron of LaSalle Academy, NYC. Jerry was faithfully dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren and incredibly generous to many causes. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday 12:30 PM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Babylon, NY. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, NY. Visiting Sunday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
