Gaetana Nanci Lorusso (Giovanniello) passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at age 83. Gaetana was born in Italy on March 25, 1940 to Americo & Pasqualina (Capozzi) Giovanniello. Gaetana has resided in the United States since she was 13 years old, living in Brooklyn, Long Island and Florida. She was known for her culinary skills and enjoyed preparing Italian delicacies for her friends and family. Her passion for cooking extended to her large vegetable garden, where she would grow organic vegetables to share with her loved ones.

In her free time, Gaetana enjoyed knitting and sewing. Her dedication to her hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to make beautiful clothing and blankets for her family and friends. Gaetana will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and is survived by her daughter, Silvana (Danny) Sepe & grandchildren, DeNina Krein, Christina Sepe, Samantha Scutchfield & Nicolette Frisolone; her son, Giovanni “Johnny”(Mina) Lorusso & grandchildren, Gabriella & Giovanni Lorusso and her youngest daughter Alessandra “Sandra” Lorusso who has been providing loving care for her in recent years. She also leaves behind one sister, Anna Troisi and two brothers, Pietro “Pete” Giovanniello and Gugliemo “Bill” Giovanniello and several nieces & nephews. Gaetana’s family would like to extend their appreciation for the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
