Obituary
Anne W. Catalano, 67, of West Islip, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 01, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by family. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Baldassare “Benny” Catalano, parents Priscilla (Goodman) and Richard White, along with brothers Richard, James, and Stephen. She is survived by brothers, Thomas and Paul.
Anne was born in Manhattan and lived most of her life on Long Island. After graduating A.G. Berner High School in Massapequa, NY, she attended Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Her career started at Texaco and Mobil Oil in New York City. After Mobil moved their headquarters to Virginia, Anne found her home at The LandTek Group in Bay Shore, NY; where the people became a second family to her for over 20 years. Anne and Benny were the perfect couple. They were happy, adored each other, and made the most of their marriage. Unfortunately, this perfect union was cut short by Benny’s passing in 2009 due to liver disease. Thereafter, Anne always had a void in her life that she filled with her love for her nieces and nephews. Aunt Annie as she was affectionately known to them was the definition of a Godmother. She was always there for them at birthdays, special occasions, or just to go somewhere and have some fun. Visiting 4pm to 8pm on Monday 4/10/23 at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy (¼ mile West of Robert Moses Causeway). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Tuesday, 4/11/23 at 9:45am at St. Patrick RC Church in Bay Shore, NY. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Anne’s name to the American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052 www.liverfoundation.org

Anne was a wonderful niece. She was loving, caring, thoughtful and a beautiful person. She was always pleasant to talk to even when she was not doing too well. She has had a long journey but hopefully she will be reunited with Benny and her family. May she Rest In peace. . Love, Aunt Carol

Anne was such a kind, thoughtful & generous soul who was taken from us far too early. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin & friend to many. I will miss her terribly but it's comforting to know she's reunited in heaven with her beloved Benny who she took wonderful care of for years & he so appreciated it. Rest In Peace now Anne.
