Obituary of Margaret Sedgley

Margaret Ann Sedgley, 80, died at home rather peacefully on March 20th at 5:34pm with her sons Paul and Don at her bedside holding her hands. Her daughter-in-law Joann was also present offering tremendous support.

Born Margaret Ann McAllister on June 25 1937 in Belfast Ireland to Harry and Teresa McAllister. Her older siblings Harry and Ina welcomed in the final member of the family that day.

Margaret had a normal childhood in Ireland and at the ripe old age of 16, in 1954, came to the USA to live out the American Dream. Here is where she met and married her love of her live Douglas Sedgley. They remained faithfully married for 40 years until Doug’s passing in 1999. Along the way they had 3 boys. Paul (56), Jeff (deceased in 1986. He would have been 54 today) and Donald (49).

Margaret was a loving housemaker to her family. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, vacationing and more. Margaret and Doug never stopped living after the tragic loss of their son Jeff to a car accident. She also never stopped living after the unfortunate loss of her husband Doug to cancer. She was then supported by her son Paul and his wife Joann and their three kids Jennifer, Jessica and Cameron. She was also supported by her son Donald and his wife Erin and their three kids Brady, Rory and Delaney.

Margaret has been welcomed into heaven by her father Harry, mother Teresa, son Jeff, brother Harry, sister Ina, sister-in-law Kath, nephew Scott, niece Teresa.

Margaret will one day be reunited with but is survived by sons Paul and Donald; her daughters-in-law Joann and Erin; her grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Cameron, Brady, Rory and Delaney; her sister-in-law Alice and brother-in-law Jack; her nieces Linda, Jennifer and Margaret and her nephews Harry, Hugh, Frank, Brian, Ian, Harry and Craig.

God willing, rest in peace.
