Obituary of Janet Campisi

CAMPISI – Janet, longtime resident of Babylon, beloved wife of Emanuel, passed away on January 19, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was the devoted mother to Lynne Campisi Thomas (Theodore Thomas), Joanne Campisi Brabant (John Brabant), Susan Campisi and Carolyn Campisi, cherished grandmother of Samuel and Bennet Thomas and Caleb, Tyler and Christopher Brabant, adored sister of Raymond Viola (Sylvia), loving aunt to Gary Viola (Patricia), Steven Viola (Terrie), Lisa Campisi (Rey) and Donna Campisi (James), treasured niece of Michael Sabella and caring godmother to Provi Bennett (Larry).  Janet was a beautiful soul whose laughter lit up a room and whose smile endeared her to everyone. Memorial Visitation at Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy, West Islip, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 23rd .  Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Wyandanch, NY  at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 24th .  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the National Parks Conservation Association.
