BACANY- John Jr., of West Islip, LI, on October 30, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Carol Marie Bacany. Devoted father of Laura (Richard) Stevenson and John (Shauna) Bacany. Beloved grandfather of Katie Stevenson and Alexandra Bacany. Dear brother-in-law of Joni Bacany, Aida Bacany, Jean Ward and Daniel Flynn. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. John was a retired NYPD Detective 1st Grade and a longtime member of the West Islip Fire Department. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy.(1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Funeral Service will be held Friday 12:30 PM at the Funeral Home.
