Irene Ehlich, 70, of Levittown, passed away on December 27th, 2023. Beloved wife of John, who cared for her lovingly and with unwavering commitment. Devoted mother to John (Anna) Ehlich, Heather (Michael) Muccio, and Lori (Scott) Sadowski. Irene was a beloved Nana to 9 grandchildren, John Charles, Jack, Abigail, Anastasia, Sebastian, Luciano, Eric, Emily, and Eva. Irene was a dedicated teacher's assistant for 25 years in the Nassau Bocces Rosemary Kennedy Program. She loved and cared for her students and was passionate about helping them to build better futures for themselves. Irene loved astronomy and puzzles. Nana treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and excitedly shared her interest with them. Irene was a loving and supportive wife and mother and a cherished Nana. She will be missed. Services will be held at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home of Bethpage on January 2nd from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. Funeral mass will be held on January 3rd at 9:15AM at St. James Church in Seaford NY.
