Marion Cieslak (White) of East Islip NY, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born on April 7, 1938 in Brooklyn NY, Marion was the daughter of the late Robert & Elvira (England) White . She was predeceased by her loving husband Edmund T. Cieslak. She leaves behind multiple siblings, friends & four children, Edmund Cieslak Jr of Bayport, NY, William (Darlene) Cieslak of Venice, FL, Laurie Stevenson of Bayshore NY and Stephen Cieslak of New York, NY. Additionally, she leaves behind a great legacy of nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Marion enjoyed a full life with interests in the fine arts, theater, music, travel, cooking, gardening, sewing, ceramics, painting and most of all her family. Marion Cieslak will forever be remembered by her loved ones as a caring and compassionate woman. Her love for the beauty of nature and all its living creatures only surpassed by her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We will all carry fond memories of her wonderfully hosted holiday celebrations, her peaceful and calming presence making it all seem so easy. Her grandkids often enjoyed pampered stays at grandma’s hotel. Where all your favorite snacks were available upon request. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner made to order. Marion taught us the meaning of actionable compassion, instilling in her children and grandchildren the importance of giving to those less fortunate. Being around her meant being lifted and praised for all your achievements, and fully supported in your endeavors. A loving daughter, sister, wife and supportive mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Marion will not soon be forgotten. May the memories of her love and devotion live on through her surviving family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
