Obituary

Higgins, John J. “Jack”, of Bay Shore, LI, formerly of Saratoga, NY and Deer Park, LI. on September 25, 2022. Born in New York City to the late Bessie and Jack Higgins. Beloved husband of Anna for 67 years. Devoted father of Ann Marie (Paul) Ferry, John (Marilyn) Higgins, Keith (Rachel) Higgins, Eileen (Joe) Hands and the late Michael Higgins. He leaves behind twelve loving grandchildren and three happy great grandchildren. Loving brother in law of Patrick McGovern and Peggy McClellan. Jack loved to play softball in his younger years and won many awards while playing for the US Army, 3rd Infantry. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 9:00 AM at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visiting Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. www.chapeyfamily.com
