Obituary

Martin I. Rosenthal, 84, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Marty was born on March 19, 1938, in Brooklyn, and moved to East Islip and later Eastport, New York. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, Martin had a strong sense of country and brotherhood. Martin was a proud American and a distinguished member of the Elks Association as he served in several roles including New York State President. Martin is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Joann (Paul) and Martin (Jessica); grandchildren, Jaclyn and Matthew; step-grandson, Jacob; step-great-grandsons, Jameson and Bennett; and sister, Bernice. Donations can be made in Martin’s honor to the New York Elks Major Projects (Attn: Renee Bott, 17 Linda Lane, Waterford, NY 12188), Day Haven Adult Services (2210 Smithtown Ave, Ronkonkoma, New York 11779) and Elizabeth T.
