Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Joseph Caltagirone, Jr. of Farmingdale, NY. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Marion. He later moved to New Hyde Park, and attended Holy Ghost School where he met his future wife Joan Lane in the eighth grade. He went on to graduate Sewanhaka High School; he then served in an air wing of the U. S. Marine Corps for four years. Joseph married Joan on August 25, 1962. The two were each others lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with four children: Joseph, Joan, John and Jacquelyn. Joseph had a long rewarding career at JP Morgan Chase. In his retirement he was an avid golfer and active member of St. Luke’s Primetime senior group. He was happiest when the entire family was together around the table. Joseph is survived by his wife Joan, his siblings Salvatore (with wife Linda) and Rosemarie (with husband Anthony), his children Joseph III (with wife Patricia), Joan (with husband Andrew and children John and Anne), John (with wife Holly and children Nicholas, Sam, Giancarlo, and Luca), and Jacquelyn (with husband Michael and children Luke and Jack).
