Obituary

Nancy Markham of Naples, FL. Formerly of West Islip and West Sayville, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022. Nancy was the impetus behind the home health care business “We Care” owned and operated with her dear friend Carol Fries. Nancy was a devoted parishioner at St. Peter’s Church. She was actively involved with the East Naples Civic Association as well as the Kiwanis and the Key Club at Lely High School. Nancy served as the first woman Lt. Governor of Kiwanis of Collier County. Being a member of Kiwanis, Nancy was afforded multiple opportunities to travel extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Stephen Markham. She is survived by her brothers Steve and Mary “Mike” Markham, Bill and Patty Markham, and sister, Mary Alice Markham. She was a loving aunt and great aunt to Kelly, Tom, and Fiona Mahon, Brian, Liz, Quinn, Madeleine, and Charlotte Markham, Patrick and Rebecca Markham, William, Christie, Graham, and Myles Markham, Brendan Markham and Molly Markham. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Chapey and Sons Funeral Home in West Islip. Mass of the Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 11 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Babylon followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations may be directed in Nancy’s name to Alzheimer’s Support Network, 1421 Pine Ridge Road, Suite 100, Naples, FL 34109
