Obituary

REALE- Joyce Joan, on March 18, 2022. Joyce was born in Wilson, North Carolina. After graduation, she worked as a telephone switchboard operator in NC. In New York while raising her family she worked for Riverhead Savings Bank as a customer service rep, and loan representative in Bay Shore, NY. In her last years of work, Joyce worked for Dr. Howard Hertz in Babylon, NY for 20 years. Joyce has 2 children, daughter Paulette Figoski and son Joe Reale and wife Karen. She is the cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren: 6 granddaughters Christine, Caitlyn, Caroline, Corinne, Jillian and Alexa, and 1 grandson Joseph Lewis Reale IV. She was the dear sister of Judy and Harry from NC, and the late Thomas, Esther and Richard. Joyce was a classy, poised, and sophisticated lady. She loved angels and birds. Joyce enjoyed meeting people and helping people and was loved by all. She enjoyed decorating, shopping, and cooking for a crowd. She met her husband Joseph Reale when he was in the United States Marine Corp. Joyce is now with him in heaven. They were married in Wilson NC and moved to NY. They were married for 46 years. Her loving children were by her side when she passed. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy., (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip, LI. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675. Visiting Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
