Obituary

Ernest Sangirardi, 69, passed away on December 29, 2021. He was born on February 8, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Vito and Celeste (Demann) Sangirardi. He was married to Susan Russo for 30 years. Ernest took over the family business, Sangirardi Ice Company, from his father in the 1970s, which he ran until his retirement in 2018. He also worked for Petro Oil in the winters and retired in 2016 after 41 years of service. Ernest enjoyed hunting as a young adult, and picked it up again in recent years where he got his first deer after 40 years. Ernest is predeceased by his sister, Anne Riccio and his stepdaughter, Jennifer. He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter, Lisamarie Vaccaro and her husband, Joseph; his son, Joseph; his son, Nicholas and his wife, Anna; seven grandchildren, Angela, Gianna, Joseph, Gabriella, Juliet, Lia and Adelina; his stepdaughter Melissa and her husband Patrick; his stepdaughter Alison and her husband Vincent; his stepson John; six step-grandchildren, Josalyn, Nicholas, Isabella, Jayson, Anthony, and Jennifer; one brother, Lawrence and his wife, Victoria; one sister, Margaret and her husband Salvatore; one brother-in-law Nicholas; one stepbrother Dennis and his wife Susan; and many nieces and nephews. Wake services will be held on Sunday, January 2 and Monday, January 3 from 3-5pm and 7-9:30pm. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at Maria Regina Church at 9:45am.
