Obituary

Rumplick, Elsie Joan, long time resident of Islip, Bay Shore, and Brightwaters, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 after a short illness. She was the daughter of Elsie McCoy Rumplick and Ralph Rumplick. Her parents and sister, Shirley, pre-deceased her. Joan was a well respected registered nurse at Southside Hospital (Now South Shore) and served in an administrative position in the years before her retirement. She was active in her community and a congregant of St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Bay Shore. She loved her professional life, her bridge games, travelling, gardening, and visiting her many friends locally and around the country. Joan was the well-loved matriarch of her extended family, attending many celebrations throughout her life. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 Mile West of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI. Burial to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Bay Shore, LI. Visitation Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
