Dowd, Helen T., of Bethpage, LI on June 16, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Matthew F. Dowd. Loving daughter of the late George Brennan and Elizabeth Brennan (nee Ryan). Devoted mother of Matthew F. (Barbara) Dowd, Jr., Elizabeth McLarney and Deirdre Dowd. Cherished grandmother of Jeanine (John) Meredith and Patrice (Brian) Jablonsky. Proud great grandmother of Natalie and Colin Meredith and Layla Jablonsky. Dear sister of Edward Brennan and the late George, Richard and Michael Brennan. Loving cousin of Kathleen and Patricia Ryan. Reposing at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1 mile north of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 10:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Bethpage, LI. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI. Visitation Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.
