Obituary

The Lord welcomed William “Bill” Robbie, 81, on May 26, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family. Bill lived in West Islip, N.Y., for almost 50 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife Ginger, his parents Harry and Blanche Robbie and brother Harry Jr. Bill is survived by his daughter Heather and husband Robert Johnson, son William Robbie Jr. and wife Tracey and his grandchildren Tyler and Gannon Johnson, Harrison and Emmy Robbie, his brother Kenneth and wife Barbara along with many loving nieces, nephews. Bill loved God, his family, and his country. He served honorably in the National Guard. A faithful servant of the Lord, he served mankind well through his ministries and was loved by many. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Bill served on the Board of Babylon Beach Estates Association in West Islip and was loved by his friends and neighbors. He was a dedicated volunteer Fireman at the Plainview Fire Department for many years attaining the rank of Captain of Ladder Co #3. He retired from the US Postal Service where he was employed as a letter carrier. Chapey’s Funeral Home at 200 East Main Street in East Islip is handling the funeral. Viewing is Tuesday, June 1st from 4-8 pm and Wednesday June 2nd 9-10:30am There will be a Christian service at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 79 E Main St. Babylon. Interment will be at the Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to S.O.S. (Serving Our Savior) care of First Presbyterian Church, to assist with their food pantry and ministry.
