Obituary

Born in Greenpoint Brooklyn, Herbert J. Uhl Jr.would graduate from The Peddie School in Highstown, NJ, and then on to Bucknell University for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Herb held a NY State Professional Engineer's License as well. Herb served in the US Army as a Civil Engineer after College. He would go on to have a distinguished career working in the telecommunications industry from 1955 to his retirement from NY Telephone in 1991. Herb and wife Dorothy (Deceased) would spend winters in a home he designed and built on the shores of the Indian River in Melbourne Beach, Fl, returning to NY to spend summers on Long Island's South Shore with their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
