Obituary

READ- Robert B. (our Bobby), of West Islip, LI on January 9, 2021 at the age of 60 due to complications from COVID-19. Each day Bobby chose happiness and generously shared his joy with others. His ideal day was on the boat with family and friends dancing to raggae…a Corona in hand, feeling the sun on his face with a smile in his heart. Bobby’s work ethic and leadership were incomparable. He was a mentor and role model to so many. Bobby worked hard, played hard and loved so deeply. Oh how we love him… Beloved husband of Michele Riordan Read for 31 extraordinary years. Devoted father of Robert Tyler and Casey Ann. Cherished brother of Kim (Brian) Hartley, Patricia Rivera, Michael (Lynn) Riordan, Matthew (Marian-Lyn) Riordan, Michael (Dawn) Lindenfeld and Todd Lindenfeld. Dear son of the late Maryann Rivera & the late Wilfredo Rivera, the late Robert Read & Dotty Read, and Barbara Riordan & the late Donald Riordan. Also beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. Senior Producer of the Investigative Unit and Managing Editor of “Inside Edition”. Bobby’s love and light will continue to live on in each and every person who has had the joy of knowing him. All services to be held privately, with a gathering to celebrate his life at a later date. Rather than flowers, we are certain Bobby would want people to buy masks and protect one another. If they feel there is more they need to do then please donate to the Robert B. Read Memorial Fund to benefit families who have been devastated by this disease. www.unitedwayli.org/robert-b-readfund Funeral arrangements entrusted to The Fredrick J.
