Obituary

Lonergan – John V., of East Islip, LI, formerly of Lindenhurst, LI and Kissimmee, FL on September 6, 2020. Beloved husband to Helene. Devoted father of John (Marilyn), Joseph, Kathy (Steve), Karen (Kathy), James (Paula) and Kelley (Frank). Cherished grandfather of Michelle, Kristina, Joseph, Nicole, Kelley, Meaghan, John, Danielle, Corinne, Kaitlyn and Timothy. Proud great grandfather of 12. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street (1/2 mile west of the S.S. Parkway, Exit 45W). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, East Islip, LI on Wednesday at 9:45 AM. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, LI. In lieu of flowers John’s family suggests donations be made in his loving honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Visiting Tuesday 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
