Florence Linea Stewart, 91, of Babylon, NY, passed away on April 6, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Florence was born on October 15, 1928 to Knut and Regina Barnstrom in Poughkeepsie, NY and graduated from William Cullen Bryant High School, Queens, NY in 1946. After graduation, she landed her first job at Bulova Watch Co. Shortly after she met William “Bill” Stewart and they wed in 1951. Bill and Flo bought a piece of property in Babylon and built a home where they raised their two sons, David and Scott. Her sense of devotion to Bill was incredible as she took care of him in his later years. They moved to the Babylon Beach House in 2013, and added the Lockwood’s, Alice and the staff to their family. Florence worked in the law office of J Stewart McLaughlin in Bay Shore for 28 years became lifelong friends. After retiring in July 2001, Florence spent her time gardening, doing artwork, playing competitive racket ball and hobby crafts with her 4 grandchildren. Flo always brought a smile to everyone she met, her sense of humor and optimism would always leave you feeling better to have known her. Her Beauty was radiant both inside and out. Florence was predeceased by her husband William.
