Obituary

Emilia LoVerde was 82 years old, she was born in Naples, Italy, on April 27, 1937. She passed away on June 25, 2019 at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. She was born to the parents of Anna and Francesco Scotto. Her siblings were Angela, Giovanni, Stefano, and Aniello. She attended school until the third grade. She came to America in the sixties, she then met the love of her life Salvatore, and they were married in September of 1967. They resided in Ozone Park, and started their family. They had three children, and were married twenty-four years before Salvatore passed away of lung cancer, in August of 1992. She worked hard as a 32BJ Union custodial worker in the evenings, traveling by the "A" train. Soon after, she became Shop Steward, and helped out a lot of her co-workers. Emilia was a very outgoing, funny, loving, and caring lady. She always brought laughter to her family and friends. She loved to talk to people, and would strike up conversations anywhere. She loved cooking, having company, and visiting with family. She started having health issues after the passing of her husband, causing her to become unable to work, and maintain her normal lifestyle. The family sold the house in Ozone Park, NY and Emilia moved with her daughter and son-in-law to New Jersey. After several years residing there, they moved down to Cumming, GA where she resided until her passing. In her later years she enjoyed coloring, and the company of her care takers, and nurses, all who loved and adored her. She is survived by her three children Antoinette (Roy) Graber, Gregory LoVerde, Frank, her daughter-in-law Alexis LoVerde, and five grandchildren Matthew, Alexandra, Frankie, Jason, and Gianna. Her nieces and nephews, Anna (Felice), Francesco, Lia, Diana (Jon), Renata (Sal), Emilia (Nick) and many great-nieces and nephews.
