Cherished grandmother of Korrie and Matthew. Loving step mother of Donna and James, Jr. Miriam was Past President of New York State AmVets Ladies Auxiliary, Past President of AmVets, Post 18, Ladies Auxiliary and Past President West Islip American Legion, Post 1738, Ladies Auxiliary. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Funeral Service Friday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Bay Shore, LI. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, LI. . Visiting Wednesday & Thursday 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers of flowers donations in Miriam’s name may be made to AmVets, Post 18, Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Fund or Good Shepherd Hospice.
