Obituary of Cynthia Breitfeller

Cynthia Breitfeller (nee Carter) of West Islip, New York died peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday April 7, 2018.  Cynthia, born in Morristown New Jersey, attended Georgetown University.  After marrying, she moved to Weisbaden Germany before moving to Long Island where she lived the remainder of her years.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Cynthia was predeceased by her husband Paul Breitfeller and her son Kenneth Breitfeller.  She is survived by her children Mary-Jo Breitfeller, Carl (Karin) Breitfeller, James (Dee) Breitfeller, Kathryn (James) Mahlmann, Kurt (Laura) Breitfeller, Christen Breitfeller, and Stephen (Lynn) Breitfeller, her grandchildren Lisa, Jessica, Christopher, Paul, Kara, Rachel, Joshua, Rebecca, Stephen, Erika, John, great grandchildren Maja, Maddie, and her numerous nieces and nephews.  She will be sorely missed.  Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Thursday 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Bay Shore, LI.  Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Babylon, LI.  Visiting Wenesday 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Guide Dog Foundation or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
