Obituary of James Burton Snyder

A beautiful and generous man, a police officer, a father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather-who loved with all his heart-will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his wife of 53 years, Carol, his children: Jimmy, Eric, Donna and Brian, his grandchildren: Ryan, Jocelyn, Evan, Eleanor, Maeve, Owen, Layla, William, Vivian and his great grandson Mason. May he rest in peace in the Lord's sweet embrace for all eternity. The wake will be held at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.) on Thursday and Friday, September 21st and 22nd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm each day. The funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Bay Shore at 10:00am on Saturday September 23rd.
